Teachers have one of the most complex professions. To select and prepare the future teachers is an important issue of the contemporary society. The solutions have not been included in a system of preparation and improvement in this field yet. In Romania through the Law of Education, a system that includes two fundamental sequences has been established. This views the initial preparation of the teachers, and subsequently the improvement of this preparation. The initial preparation in this domain is achieved during university studies, and the improvement of this preparation is done after graduation through different stages that go on in different universities. The co-ordination of the activities of preparation and improvement is done under the guidance of The Preparation of the Teaching Staff Department.
