CONSILIERUL, CA INDIVID SI PRACTICIAN:

Dezvoltare personală şi abilităţi interpersonale de comunicare

Acest seminar practic este centrat pe dezvoltarea personală şi profesională a studenţilor viitori consilieri dar şi a practicienilor cu experienţă. Ca element de dezvoltare personală, participanţii vor avea posibilitatea de a-şi identifica resursele individuale pe care le aduc în activitatea profesională. Ei vor explora nevoile şi oportunităţile de dezvoltare personală în profesiunea de consiliere. Studenţii vor identifica posibile surse de conflict intern privind propriile valori şi expectanţe şi vor învăţa strategii eficiente de management al stresului profesional.

De asemenea, participanţii vor exersa abilităţi caracteristice unei relaţii de comunicare eficiente între consilier şi client. Se pune accent pe managementul eficient al relaţiilor interpersonale şi pe abilităţile de asistenţă şi de comunicare în procesul de consiliere. Se vor discuta de asemenea principiile de bază ale terapiei cognitiv-comportamentale şi se vor exersa tehnici specifice. Vor fi abordate principiile IST (Internal Therpy Systems), un model ce sprijină atât consilierii cât şi clienţii în procesul de dezvoltare a conştiinţei de sine.

Sesiunea de formare va conţine prezentări, dezbateri, exerciţii individuale şi de grup. Va fi structurată ca workshop interactiv, în care participanţii sunt încurajaţi să vină cu propriile lor întrebari, preocupări şi experienţe.

Ken Frazier a absolvit un program de master în Consiliere la Universitatea North Carolina, din Greensboro, USA. Este preşedintele Centrului de Terapie a Fobiilor din Greensboro şi a desfasurat o activitate de peste 25 de ani ca practician. Pe lânga aceste activitati, este specializat în terapia tulburărilor de anxietate. Deţine titlurile de Consilier National Certificat (NCC) şi de Consilier Profesionist Licentiat (LPC). Domnia sa a facut parte din Consiliul Director al Asociaţiei Consilierilor Profesionişti Licentiaţi din Carolina de Nord şi a fost Preşedintele Comitetului de Dezvoltare Profesională al acestei organizaţii.

 

THE COUNSELOR AS INDIVIDUAL AND PRACTITIONER:

Personal Growth and Interpersonal Skills

This workshop focuses on the student's development personally and professionally within the counseling profession. Under personal development, students will have an opportunity to identify the resources they bring to the profession. They will explore the need for personal development and the opportunities for self-actualization . Students will identify areas of possible internal conflict about their own values and expectations. They will learn strategies for handling stress more effectively. Students will learn skills for effective counselor-client relationships: developing interpersonal relationships, the helping process, and communication skills. They will learn basic principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy. Principles of Internal Systems Therapy will be discussed; it is a model that helps both the counselor and the client develop self-awareness. Students will learn through presentation, discussions and exercises. This is an interactive workshop and participants are encouraged to bring their questions, concerns and experiences to this learning experience.

About the Presenter

Ken Frazier has a Masters of Education Degree in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro . He is President of the Phobia Treatment Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA, and has been in private practice over twenty-five years. In addition to general counseling, he specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders. He is a National Certified Counselor and a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor. Mr. Frazier served on the Board of Directors for the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina and was Chair of the Professional Development Committee for that organization.

SUNT INVITATI: studenţi şi specialişti în domeniul consilierii.
PROGRAM:
seminarul va avea loc în zilele de 13-14 mai, 2006, la sediul Universităţii "Petru Maior", după urmatorul program:
  • sâmbătă, 13 mai, între orele 14:00 - 18:00
  • duminică, 14 mai, între orele 9:00 - 13:00 si 15:00 - 17:00 (10 ore în total)
Se va elibera un certificat avizat de UPM şi de NBCC-RO
